It is our great pleasure to share with you unofficial results from the 30th IAU 100 km World Championship, that took place on September 8th in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia.

What is the IAU

IAU
The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) is operating under the patronage of the IAAF and is dedicated to develop ultradistance running internationally within the IAAF Rules &
Regulations.
As international governing body for ultradistance running, one of our main objectives is to promote and develop long distance running worldwide by encouraging specific activities in each of the IAAF Continental Areas.

Competitions
The 100 km is our “flagship” since the IAAF officially sanctions this distance and also ratifies
100 km world records.

The major IAU competitions are :
100 km World Championships under the patronage of the IAAF
100 km Area Championships
24H World Championships
24H Area Championships
Trail World Championship
50 km World Championship

Veja todos os recordes por idade  , sexo masculino,  que  estão até hoje aguardando ser superados.

Ultramaratonas são provas com mais de 42 Km, ou seja, dificilmente você verá um queniano disputando ultramaratonas, pois eles vivem das meia maratona e maratona para conseguir alguma recompensa financeira, que é justo.

Praticamente todas ultramaratonas, salvo se alguém conhecer alguma prova, não oferecem prêmios em dinheiro e tem valor alto para pagamento da inscrição. As maratonas podem ser divididas em provas de pista e estrada, por km ou horas.

The IAU 24H World Championships for 2017 will be held in Victoria Park, Belfast on July 1st/2nd 2017.

The IAU 24H World Championships for 2017 will be held in Victoria Park, Belfast on July 1st/2nd 2017.

The LOC are the organisers of the Energia 24H Race which has been held successfully in previous years on the Mary Peters Track in Belfast. This year the event will be held in Victoria Park on 25/26th June as a test event for next year’s world championships. The sponsors for the 24H race and Belfast Council are fully supporting the Championships for 2017 as are both British Athletics (NI) and Athletics Ireland.
